Summer's Baby Shower

Here are some items I made for my cousin Summer’s baby shower. She is having a girl so I was very excited to be helping out with this shower. So I have made items for both boy and girl showers this summer. I was in charge of games for this event and I had a lot of fun dressing them up.

This card was easy and fun to make. I used my circut machine to cut out the stroller and layered it. I also curved the edges to give it a softer feel.
First Diaper Cake I have ever made. I will say that it was easy to put together but the one thing that I forgot to do was glue the bottle in the inside of the cake down to the board. So the cake was sliding around when I was caring it. I am still happy about how it turned out and I can't wait to make another one!
I had to make her a Flowered sign in pen!

Here are the jars I dressed up for the Guess the Baby Food Game. I used paper and paint to give them a fun look that matched the other items.

I also dresser up these diapers that match the jars. This was for the guess what kind of Chocolate bars are in the Diapers.

Samuel's 3rd Birthday

This year I decided to make everything for my sons 3rd birthday. He picked Blue's Clues for the theme so I used a lot of blue. It was so much fun making all of these items for the party and I found it so worth it because I think all the children had a blast.

Here is the invitation I made. I used basic blue paper for the background and I used my cuttle bug to emboss the circle pattern on it. The Blues Clues picture was found on google search and I used my circut to cut out the party hat. The ribbon was stapled on the "you're invited" tag.
I love making things with Terracotta pots as most of you may know. You can view another pot I decorated for my cousin Catherine's Baby Shower below. This one was easy and fun because i was able to find all these characters from the Blues Clues show at nickjr.com. All I did was printed them out, cut them out and glued them to the stems.

This is made out of a tissue box that my son and I painted and add the face and dots. On the buttom I glued cut up toilet paper roll to make the legs and on top just cut a square hole so you could place your thoughts into for the birthday boy to read after the party.

I just had to make another pen.

Blues Clues Cake was a lot of fun to make! If you want details please ask but It is a lot to explain so I am going to give out a short version. I used 2 cake box mixes with lots of blue died vanilla icing. It was pretty easy to make it just took about a day to make, working on it off and on.

This is my son Samuel wearing the Blues Clues Ears I made for all the children. I think that he had a good time!

This is the goody bag with the hand made ears, games, color sheets, handy dandy note book, book mark, stickers, crayon, and of course I decorated the bags.

Mother's Day Cards

I really found a passion for making cards. They are easy and I can make many of them in comparison to making a scrapbook. They were a lot of fun to make!

Catherine's Baby Shower

So I thought that I would share my cousin's baby shower with everyone because it was very meaningful to be apart of it. I was just so grateful for being able to bring some handmade items that I spent some time on for the mommy to be.

I love making cards ex specially when I get to use my circut machine. My husband bought it for me last Christmas and I am always trying to find something to make with it. It was super easy and I think that bears are great to use for a new arrival or 1st birthday.

This is the invitation I made that was handed out to all the guests. I just love the bear theme.

This poem I found at Scrapbook.com, i have found this site to be very useful. I added some fun paper and fibers with inked edges.

Thought Box. Purchased at Hobby Lobby and used some scrap paper to cover with flowers. I hope that this box could be reused for other items.

Centerpiece for table. Very easy to make with toccata pot, painted blue and used circut for flowers and animals placed on stems with ribbon and Easter grass.
Cake I decorated. I love decorating cakes! They just make you feel wonderful after making

Thinking of You CARD

I made this card for my Grandmother that is in a nursing home. My family has all been brought together to move my Grandmother from Florida to Oklahoma. I am so glad that she will be close to a lot of our family now. So I had to make her a card to let her know that I was thinking about her.

Getting Started...

So I am finally getting started on my blog. I have seen so many other people making there own blogs and I just had to do one too. I guess you could yes that I am trying to follow the fab.
